Barton Students Prepare Christmas Gifts for Children in Need

WILSON, N.C. – The Christmas Spirit is strong at Barton College. Students, along with faculty, staff, and others across the campus and Wilson communities, came together to gather items and prepare gift boxes just in time for the holidays. The efforts are all a part of Barton’s support for Operation Christmas Child. Dozens of First-Year Seminar (FYS) students crowded Kennedy Family Theatre before Thanksgiving break. Eleven FYS classes packaged nearly 200 gift boxes full of special items both purchased and collected. Barton Prepares for the Christmas Season

WILSON, N.C. – The Lighting of the Luminaries, a long-standing tradition for the Barton College community, will usher in the Christmas season on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The College family invites the surrounding community to join them for this festive celebration. The celebration will begin with a festive candlelight dinner served in the Hamlin Student Center Dining Hall at 5 p.m. Cost for the meal is $6 for adults and $3 for children and students not on the meal plan.
